CPM Murwillumbah has been serving the art community of N.S.W. and SE Qld. for over
20 years.
We offer facilities for etching, lithography, relief printing and screen printing
providing members with the opportunity to exhibit their work through our Workshop
Gallery.
The CPM workshop gallery is open to the public on Friday's from 11am to 3pm.
CPM Meetings:
All members can attend the meetings at 1.30 pm that are held in conjunction with member'sexhibition openings (usually the 2nd Saturday every 2 months from 3pm).
CPM Committee meetings are held alternate months from the openings on
Saturday's at 1.30pm or as arranged by the committee.
While CPM is not a teaching institution we do however offer formal workshops where there is sufficient interest.

2013 CPM Print Awards
Entries are invited for the 2013 CPM National Print Awards. The Awards are held in partnership between Community Printmakers Murwillumbah (CPM) and the Tweed River Art Gallery. The Awards are held biennially with the purpose of encouraging the making of fine art prints. While the acquisitive awards add to the Tweed River Art Galley’s growing collection of Australian Prints.
Community Printmakers Murwillumbah (CPM) is proud to have organised the CPM National Print Awards from its inception in 1991 to the 15th Awards in 2013.
The CPM Committee is pleased to announce that the judge of the 2013 Awards is Anne Ryan, Curator of Australian Prints at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The Award categories and prize money include: the Tweed Shire Council Acquisitive Award $5,000, Friends of the Gallery Acquisitive Award $2,000, the Tony Abernethy Memorial Award (acquisitive) $1,000, the Leslie J Pulman Award for Humour in Art $500, the Barbara Carroll Award for Socio-Political Comment $400, and the NORTEC Young Artist Award $500. In 2013, CPM has initiated two new Award categories, the CPM Acquisitive Award $1,000 and CPM Members Award $500, totalling $10,900 in prize money.
The Award sponsors are to be commended for their continuing commitment, as are Australian printmakers who support the Awards by entering the competition each year, ensuring a stimulating and diverse exhibition, and presenting a snapshot of current printmaking techniques.
The CPM National Print Awards will be on display at the Tweed River Art Gallery, 2 Mistral Rd, Murwillumbah NSW 2484 from Friday 19 April to Sunday 2 June 2013. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm. The official opening and Award presentation will be held on Saturday 20 April. All are welcome to attend the event.
